For once, my make up came out exactly how I wanted it!
Trucco Lip Pencil in Cinnamon Stick (discontinued) with a Glazewear lip gloss in Nude Shimmer.
The entire evening was a complete blast! We met up with my best friend, Robyn, and her husband and son at a local diner called the Brick Oven before heading over to the Frank Erwin Center for the concert. I was so enthralled, I didn’t get a lot of pictures but here are a couple of the best ones I did manage to get.
All in all, it was a fantastic night!
This week’s look is quirky and fun! Apparently the proverbial cat who ate the bird look! :D
Liner – Urban Decay Blackout

Are you going to try it? I am thinking about it!
My VoxBox came in last week but with the camping trip prep, I completely spaced on posting about it!
With all the cold and wet during the camping trip, my skin was a wreck. It was incredibly dry, chapped and just in overall poor shape. After I got cleaned up, I put it on and could feel a noticeable difference immediately. I put it on today and my skin continues to feel better. Which is probably the lone highlight of today since not only did I come back with my skin a disaster, I also came home incredibly sick. :(

I received Meaningful Beauty Crème de Serum complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
Courtney and I have decided we need to have another Pretty Lipstick Day. And the day this happens?
Whenever we feel like it! Today, MAC’s Media wanted to come out and play. ;)
Our friend, Robert, had said if she and I had another one, he would join in on the fun! So we’ve thrown down the gauntlet!
And he did it! LOVE IT! <3
Can’t wait to see what all is in the box! I loved my Summer and Beauty Voxboxes! If you would like an invite, let me know! :)
The SO and I have not had a night out in quite some time last night so last night, we went to see our favorite singer, Alyse Black, who was performing at Flipnotics. There was some concern about getting to the venue since ACL just kicked off but we managed to get there with minimal effort and even managed to score a parking spot at the venue!
I felt the need to get really done up so I did something I don’t normally do; I straightened my hair! I had forgotten how long it takes but luckily, I started fairly early so I still had lots of time to get ready. All in all, I love how my overall look came out.

A few days ago, Christina of Temptalia was asked this very same question and I was going to share my answer on her blog but decided to just write up a blog answer instead so I can share it with all of you.
I don’t use a purse traditionally because I primarily work from home so I have time to do my make up before I ever have to leave the house. I’ve gotten so used to just carrying my iPhone book book which is also my wallet, that I just don’t think about purses much anymore. Though I still want to purchase them, go figure!
However, I do keep a small cosmetic case in my laptop bag which goes to and from work with me when I have to go into the office for meetings. Here is a snapshot of my cute little Beautyfix cosmetic bag:
Seems pretty simple, right? Little did I know when I picked up this little bag, that it was actually a bag of holding! It holds all the things!!
I am a nail file hoarder, I love them. If there is a nail file set up next to a cash register, I pick one up. I just can’t help it! That is why you see 3 nail files and a file brick along with:
- Revlon‘s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Adore
- ASK Cosmetics Revival Skin Conditioning Milk (I love this lotion! I was lucky enough to get into a couple of their challenges which introduced me to their line. Suuuuch awesome stuff) If you haven’t already, you should check out Lisa’s blog.
- Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner in Brown
- ELF’s Blending Eye Brush
- Cuticle clippers for those pesky hangnails I always get and can never stop from picking until I have a bleeding wound!
- ASK Cosmetics TIPS Nail Conditioner (This has really helped with aforementioned hang nail problem!)
- MAC Twilight Falls eyeshadow
- Ulta‘s Ultraflesh Mascara in Blackout
- Nail clippers
- Goody’s Ouchless Hair Ribbon
Unless I am going out for a night on the town, I usually keep my day time make up pretty neutral so everything here works perfectly for those last minute touch ups one may need during a hectic day in the office or any minor cosmetic emergencies.
What do you carry in your cosmetic bag?
